The One Plus One |
Being someone who is eagerly awaiting the OnePlus One launch in India. I thought of writing a comparison between the highly awaited OnePlus One and the newly launched Apple's iPhone 6 Plus.
Body:
The OPO(162gm) is the lighter phone weighing 10gms lesser than the iPhone 6 Plus, while the i6+ has an edge over it's competitor in being the more slimmer phone of the two.

Display:
In terms of display It is hard to decide a winner as both the OPO and iPhone has the same resolution and PPI(Per pixel Intensity). Both the phones have an identical resolution of 1080x1920 pixels on a 5.5 inch screen with a PPI of exactly 401. The OPO has an LTPS LCD display and the iPhone an IPS display. While on paper the LTPS display is better than the IPS. You wouldn't feel a considerable amount of difference.

Processing Power and Storage;
The Apple iPhone 6 plus is backed by the A8 dual core processor with 1GB RAM clocked at 1.4 GHz, while the OPO is backed by Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB RAM clocked at 2.5GHz. Both the processors are hard performers and you wouldn't feel any lag on the phones.

OS:
While the iPhone 6 Plus is backed by the latest version of iOS, i.e version 8. The OPO is backed by the lightweight and customizable stock android like Android Kitkat(4.4.2).
Battery:
Both the phones have identical battery life with OPO having a 3100mAh and the iPhone a 2915mAh battery. Both the phones have non removable batteries.
SAR Values:
This is where OPO beats most of it's competitors hands down. For a phone with such high specifications the OPO has a very low SAR value(well below the limit of 1.6W/Kg). The SAR values for OPO are 0.62(W/Kg) on the head and 0.75(W/Kg) on the body.
Camera:
The OPO's camera is a beast no doubt. Just try googling for
photos taken on the OPO. It will just take your breath away. The OPO packs a 13MP Sony Camera on the rear and a 5 MP shooter in the front with a viewing angle of 80%. The OPO's rear camera can shoot video of upto 2K resolution.
The iPhone still packs an 8MP Camera which has been the same since 4S days.
HDR mode is available on both the phones.
If i were given a choice between this two phones my choice would definitely be the OPO which is priced at half of Apple's iPhone 6 Plus.
