Android 2.3 Gingerbread. |
The Motorola Defy Plus
I earlier had written about this power packed mobile at Motorola Defy Plus in India. The Motorola Defy Plus is one smartphone that anyone would love to have. The phone is packed with super specifications at the price offered. The Defy Plus runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and has a 3.7 inch touchscreen which makes it a biggie. The phone is packed with a 1GHz processor and a 5Mega Pixel primary camera. The Defy has a decent resolution of 480x854 pixels. The device is equipped with Gorilla glass and is scratch resistant and Water proof.
Pros:
- Android Gingerbread OS
- 2GB Internal memory ( most other phones have less than 1GB of internal memory)
- 3.7 inch and 480x854 pixel resolution
- Gorilla Glass display
- Waterproof and Dust proof.
- Good battery backup.
- 5 MP camera doesn't live up to competitor standards.
- only 480p video recording compared to 720p among competitors
- No front camera or secondary camera for video calling.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V is a smaller version of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo which packed better performance and an 8MP Camera. The camera is just 5MP compared to the Neo, which is why they have 'V' in the name of the phone. The Neo V has a 3.7 inch screen with a resolution of 480x854 pixels and has a 1GHz Processor.
Pros:
- Plays and Records 720p Video
- Good Camera when compared to competitor 5MP Camera phones
- Good Display with TFT LCD.
- HDMI out, i.e Neo can be connected to TV, Monitors etc with an HDMI port.
- Android Ginger bread OS
- Low Internal memory about 320MB.
- Comparitively slow download speeds
- Bluetooth 1.0.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray is a phone with great features that you might only find in Android mobile phones above 25k, The best thing about Xperia Ray is it's 8MP camera and 720P HD video recording, there are even rumours on the internet that both the iPhone 4S and the Xperia Ray has the same camera. We are not sure about that but still it is a great camera for sure.
Pros:
- 8.1MP Camera and 720p HD video recording.
- 296ppi which is very close to even the iPhone 4S, which implies great clarity on screen
- Small size and holds well in hand, very thin.
- Stylish looks
- Better network performance than competitors.
- Really fast and good graphics
Cons:
- Low internal storage ( but being gingerbread apps can be moved to memory card)
- 3.3 inch screen which is 0.4 inch smaller than Neo and Defy Plus.
- No HDMI out.
I would definitely go for the Xperia ray if you asked me :)
